Reasons for sudden hearing loss



If you are experiencing a sudden hearing loss in any ear, it could be due to various reasons. It could be that you are spending too much time in a loud environment and then suddenly coming out of it. This will prevent you from hearing for a while. However, your hearing will return within half an hour, if this is the case. If you are using the elevator to climb any more than five floors, this could also be a reason for sudden loss of hearing. In this case, your hearing with return with a slight popping sound once you can equalize your senses to being at a higher altitude. This could take a few minutes to happen. If you are indulging in excessive exercise, this could also be a reason for you to suffer from sudden hearing loss. This would occur especially if you are indulging in the kind of exercise that will put enormous amounts of strain on any part of your body. Your ears can also react to heavy weight lifting, so you must be extra careful while doing this. Another reason for momentary and sudden loss of hearing would be continual use of ear phones of any kind. If there is always something plugged in your ear, keep in mind that you are less likely to hear clearly.
