What are the best herbs or supplements for hypothyroidism?

Before prescribing herbal medicine or supplements it is good to know what medications (prescribed and OTC) you are taking. Herbs in general are safer when taken in their natural state (as in a tea) as opposed to tinctures or standardized extracts.

My current recommendation would be to incorporate sea vegetables into your diet (seaweed: kombu, arame, hijiki, nori etc.) and find an herbalist  or naturopathic doctor who can help you make the right choices.

You can find a Naturopathic Doctor in your area

Good Luck,
