HOW CAN I REMOVE MY CHICKENPOX SCARS & HOLES IN MY FACE

Chicken pox, otherwise known as varicella is a very common ailment among children, particularly amongst those that fall between the age groups of 2 and 8. This infection is caused by the varicella-zoster virus and is a very contagious illness. Once infected with the virus, it takes about 10-14 days for the symptoms to surface. This time frame of 10 to 14 days is known as the incubation period. Healthy children normally may experience 1-2 days of sore throat, discomfort and fever, after the incubation period. Twenty four hours after these symptoms have surfaced, a very characteristic rash begins to develop, starting with the torso, and gradually moving on to other parts of the body over the following 7-10 days.

Chicken pox very rarely leaves behind any kind of severe scarring. However here are a few home remedies that you can use to help in getting rid of the scars faster. Vitamin E oil is very good for the skin; it will help in accelerating the healing process by nourishing your skin. Simply apply a thin layer of the oil on the affected area 2-3 times a day. This should be consistently repeated till you notice that the scars have visibly reduced. In addition to vitamin E you could also apply cod liver oil or aloe vera gel on to the affected area. These are also known to work beautifully on scars. Honey is also considered to be an excellent remedy when it comes to treating scars. This is because it acts as a lightening agent, causing the scars to gradually fade away. All you need to do is apply a thin film of honey on the scars. Leave the application on for about 15-20 minutes and then rinse it off with cold water. This should be done 2-3 times a day too.

Another remedy would be to slice a lemon in half and then use one half to gently rub the area that is scarred. This remedy will get rid of the dead skin cells and will bring a healthy glow to the face. In a similar manner garlic can also be rubbed on to the face. Slice a garlic pod in half and then rub one half on the scars for 10-15 minutes; this will be effective as well. Finally consume at least 8-10 glasses of water and eat foods that are rich in vitamin K such as tomatoes, cabbage, spinach, broccoli an dairy products. This will also help in getting rid of the scars.
