Hair fall is a very natural process through which old strands of hair are replaced by new ones. On a daily basis we lose about 100-150 strands of hair. This is all a part of the renewal process. This process at times may be accelerated by a large number of factors, which then leads to excessive hair fall. Hormonal changes, poor eating habits, illness, improper blood circulation, pregnancy, harsh chemicals, pollution, dandruff, stress, medication, age, genetics and unhygienic scalp conditions can all lead to hair loss.

Here are a few home remedies that can help in reducing and preventing hair loss. Mix together, the yolk of one egg, freshly squeezed juice from one lemon and two tablespoons each of rosemary and olive oil. This mixture should then be gently massaged into the scalp. Leave the application on for about 30 minutes and then rinse it off with lukewarm water. This remedy should be preformed once a week to reduce hair loss. The juice extracted from cilantro leaves has also been found to be helpful for this condition. Blend 3-4 tablespoons of the leaves to form a thick paste. Squeeze the juice out of this paste into a bowl and then apply it in a liberal manner onto your scalp. Once the application has stayed on for about half an hour, rinse it off with a mild shampoo. Cumin seeds have also been found to be effective when it comes to reducing hair fall. To half a cup of olive oil add 1½ teaspoon of cumin seeds. Leave the oil aside for an hour, after which massage it into your hair. The application has to be rinsed off after 30 minutes with lukewarm water.

Mix together 250 ml each of spinach juice and lettuce juice. This concoction should be had daily, it is known to work well on this condition. Consume a well balanced and healthy diet and eat plenty of fresh fruits and green leafed vegetables. They will provide your body with all the essential nutrients. Exercise on a regular basis, at least for 30 minutes a day. This will help in stimulating blood circulation. Keep your body well hydrated by drinking plenty of water, at least eight to ten glasses a day is recommended. Avoid the use of harsh chemicals on your hair, as they have a tendency of inducing hair fall. If none of these remedies work for you, then consult a dermatologist to get to the root of the problem.
