Natural Skin Lightening

I'm 38 years old and wish to improve my tan colored skin. Can you help me be telling me what home made remedies I can use to brighten my color.



A lot of people have to deal with the condition of skin darkening. Some people have naturally dark skin whereas some develop a dark pigmentation due to exposure to the sun. It can be a tan or overexposure to sun that could cause sunburn. Skin darkening can be caused by exposure to pollutants as well. Daily exposure to sun and pollutants can cause darkening which is not easy to get rid of. It can also be caused by hyper pigmentation. Dark skin has more melanin as compared to fair skin. Increased melanin could cause dark skin with patches and make it look blemished. Some people have a darker skin tone due to heredity. Certain skin disorders such as Lichen Simplex Chronicus can cause itching of the skin and makes the skin dark, thick and patchy. There are several home remedies which can help lighten the skin tone and give a lighter complexion.

Use honey, lemon juice, milk powder and almond oil. Make a mixture of 1 teaspoon of honey, 1 teaspoon of milk powder, 1 teaspoon of lemon juice and half a teaspoon of almond oil. Apply this mixture on the skin and wash it after 10 to 15 minutes. Increase the proportions according to the surface to be covered. It will help remove tan and bring a healthy shine to the skin. One can also use oatmeal, curd and tomato juice. Make a mixture of oatmeal in curd and tomato juice. Apply it on the skin and let it stay for approximately 20 minutes. Wash it off with cold water. It will remove the tan and lighten the skin as well. To remove blemishes and marks, slice raw potatoes and place them on the affected skin.

Dry some orange peels. Once dried, powder them and mix it with curd. Apply it on the skin and wash it off with cold water, 15 minutes after the application. Every morning, soak some almonds in water. In the night grind them with milk. Apply this mixture on the skin in the night and let it stay throughout the night. Do this every night for at least 15 nights. Make a mixture of one tablespoon gram flour; two teaspoons of raw milk and two to three teaspoons of lime juice. Apply this mixture and leave it for 15 minutes and then wash it off with cold water. Repeat this everyday for at least a month. These remedies take a long time to be effective and need to be done on a daily basis.
