Remedies for Spectacle Bruise: My glasses make my nose hurt really badly. They have already been adjusted. Any advice?

Until your nose recovers wear the glasses as little as you can, like take them off when you are at home, if you can get some Arnica Ointment or Cream rub this gently into the bruised area, try wearing them a little further down the nose to avoid the sore bits and get another company to re-adjust them for you or buy some of a different style to stop this happening again.

Hi there, I can only share my experience. Hope you find something here to help you. Glasses should not be too heavy (ie:made w/ thick glass lenses). However, I am also very dissatisfied with my plastic lenses because they get crusty from the eroding scratch protection that the optometrists clerk recommended. Anyway, you can buy stick-on foam pads at the drug store. They work real well but need changing every couple days. If possible, slightly bend the ear bow's in so they hug your head better.

The glass frames are machine molded for masses, while creator made everyone different. The bridge of the frame which rests on nose, if it applies concentrated pressure in certain areas, or material you are allergic to, then such problems arise. acrylic polymers, some are allergic to them.

Apply little sesame oil a little to the nose area and give gentle massage when going to bed and as soon as you take bath and about to leave for work. In case sesame oil is not available olive oil, almond oil will also do.
