How to get rid of dry skin on foot?

You will need to follow a regular foot care routine to get rid of this problem permanently. You will also have to make a few minor adjustments to your diet and your lifestyle to ensure that this problem does not recur.

Since your dry skin seems to be rather stubborn, you can use an apple cider vinegar soak. Apple cider vinegar is acidic in nature and will help the dead dry skin to slough off easily. Add a few mugs of very hot water to a tub. Add one tablespoon of apple cider vinegar for every mug of water in the tub. Soak your feet in this water for no less than 30 minutes. Use a pumice stone to gently scrub off the dead skin on the soles of your feet. Make sure that you do not use pressure while doing this or you may rub your skin raw. Concentrate on the edges of your soles as this is where the most amount of dead skin collects. Allow your feet to soak for an additional 5 minutes and then use an emery board. An emery board will help to smoothen out any rough skin caused by the pumice stone and help to get rid of the smaller flakes of dead skin. Dry your toes and the areas between your toes thoroughly as excess moisture can cause an infection. Mix equal amounts of olive oil and almond oil and massage your feet with this oil. Make sure that you spend at least 10 minutes massaging your soles as this will increase the blood circulation to the area and prevent excessive drying. It will also ensure that the oil has soaked into your skin. You should use this treatment at least once a week to keep your feet moisturized and smooth.

You mentioned that you have used several creams and they have not been very useful. This is because many cosmetic skin creams contains chemicals in the form of dyes, perfumes and preservatives which can irritate your skin. You can use a simple home remedy for dry soles to keep your skin well moisturized. Add about one teaspoon of jojoba oil to a tablespoon of coconut oil. Massage your feet, especially your soles with this oil everyday before you go to bed. Use a pair of oil socks to keep the oil from spreading onto your bed. Coconut oil and jojoba oil are rich in fatty acids that will prevent your feet from drying.

In addition to this you will also need to include more green leafy vegetables and fruits in your diet to promote better circulation. In addition to this have a handful of assorted nuts daily as nuts are high in fatty acids that help to keep your skin naturally moisturized.
