Syringomas

I had syringoma treatment around my left under eye but now it became worst because I got scars. what can I use to eliminate these scars?
( 7 Apr 2009)

Syringomas are harmless bumps on the skin that are mostly caused by overgrowth of sweat glands. These bumps generally appear as clusters of multiple rounded shapes on the upper part of the cheeks below the eyes. Syringomas are completely benign and cause no itch, pain, or harm at all.

Apart from probably hampering your looks to certain extent, syringomas have no other downside. Anyone, irrespective of gender or race, may suffer from syringoma, but occasionally it may run in the family. Additionally, syringoma is mostly found to be prevalent amongst people who suffer from Down’s syndrome. Over 80% people with Down’s syndrome are also found be afflicted with syringoma. There are no effective home remedies for syringoma; mostly, it has to be treated with special medical treatment in consultation with a doctor. Special medical methods like electrosurgery, carbon dioxide laser, or other surgical methods can be employed to remove syringoma, but all these syringoma treatments can often leave scars on the face. Therefore, unless they bother you too much, you may want to leave them alone and not interfere much. Do not try and remove them at home with sharp instruments like razors and needles as they may prove to be dangerous. Trying to remove syringomas on your own may lead to bleeding, scarring, and possible infections on your skin.

Since the scars you have got are due to permanent damage to the tissues, there is not much you can do to eliminate these scars altogether. However, you may still want to try out a few home remedies that may help you fade the scars a bit. Unfortunately, these methods may take long and are usually very gradual, so do not expect any drastic results immediately. One of the usual remedies for scars is to rub your skin with freshly cut slices of potato, cucumber, tomato, or lemon. You can also use lemon juice mixed with glycerin to make the scars fade away. Lemon juice is a natural bleach and is useful to lighten the scar marks. Apple cider vinegar can also be used as a replacement of lemon juice. In addition, massage your skin regularly with almond oil to supply the skin with essential nutrients. Washing your face with aloe vera gel may also be beneficial for the skin to fade the scars. Applying milk cream, mixed with rose water and sandalwood, is another good method for lightening the skin tone and the scar marks.
