I've a red rash and how do I get rid of it?

A red rash can be indicative of many things. You could be suffering from anything right from ringworms to allergies. The first thing you need to do is to get your rash medically examined. This will determine what exactly it is. Once you know what you are dealing with, finding a solution becomes easier. It could also be possible that you have an infection of some sort. In this case, a medical examination will reveal this and you will have to follow a proper course of treatment to get rid of the problem. In addition to this, there are also some simple measures you can adopt and see if they work to get rid of your rash. The very first thing you can do is sanitize the part of your skin which has the rash. You can do this by rubbing lime juice on it. This will destroy any surface bacteria that may have taken up residence on your skin. As an alternative to lime juice, you can also use organic vinegar. Be careful that you do not use this too often, as it will tend to have an adverse impact on skin if it is delicate or sensitive in nature. You can also dab some tea tree oil on the area to sanitize it. Tea tree oil has great anti septic and anti bacterial properties that will kill bacteria and help with sanitizing the area as well.

Once you have sanitized the area, there are a number of remedies you can try. Almost all of them depend upon your ailment. If you are afflicted with ringworm, you can tape a penny on the affected area. This is a tried and tested remedy that is used to destroy ringworm. If you are suffering from allergies, you can work to strengthen your immune system. This will help you fight the rash better. Applying turmeric powder on almost any problem of the skin helps to heal the skin very well. You can simply sprinkle it or you can make a paste of turmeric powder and clarified butter. This can then be rubbed on and left to harden so that it falls off on its own. Turmeric powder has anti septic properties as well. This will help to arrest the spread of any infection. You can also apply plain, unflavored and unsweetened yogurt to any skin ailment. The live active bacteria in yogurt will feed off any germs or bacteria on your skin, thus helping with healing.
