Treatment for hidradenitis suppurativa lump in the inner thighs

Lumps between your legs would presumably mean lumps in the inner thighs. If this is true, then the problem you are suffering from is called Hidradenitis Suppurativa. This is a condition wherein the skin suffers from inflammation, accompanied with blackheads, lumps and sometimes painful boils as well. Whereas this generally affects areas that have thick and coarse hair growth like the underarms and pubic area, the inner thighs are also an area that is known to get affected due to the constant friction and rubbing of skin. Hidradenitis is a state wherein little bumps or boils form at the base of hair follicles. The yellowish discharge you talk of is not too common in the case of Hidradenitis, however. It would be better if you were to get yourself medically examined in order to rule out the possibility of any kind of infection you may have developed. If you have developed an infection, then you would need to follow a proper course of antibiotics in order to kill it.

Hidradenitis does not really have any known medical cure that guarantees treatment. The only way to get rid of it would be to surgically remove the boils, but this will also not guarantee that they will not come back at some point later. All that you can successfully do is keep the more painful symptoms under control and therefore keep the disease in check. One of the things that seem to show a direct relation to the occurrence of Hidradenitis is cigarette smoking. If you smoke, then chances are that this problem will always be rampant, and will not go away at all. So you would need to stop smoking first thing. Make it a point to wash the entire area frequently, as this is your best bet of maintaining cleanliness and avoiding the recurrence of the problem.
