Natural remedies for acne

Acne is usually a by product of overactive and erratic hormones during adolescence or the result of badly maintained skin. In either case, you can follow some kitchen based remedial measures to get rid of your acne. The most appropriate way to get rid of acne is to keep your skin clean and free to breathe easily.

You can do this by following a simple daily routine of cleansing, toning and moisturizing. For cleansing, it is always best to use plain whole milk. Remember that this should be the last thing you do before going to bed.

If you follow this routine everyday, you will be able to cure your acne quite easily and effectively.

Once a week, try to exfoliate your skin. You can use an exfoliating scrub off the shelf, or make your own with a paste-like mix of sugar, olive oil and walnut powder. This will cleanse your skin and not allow excess oils to sit on it, thus clogging your pores. For your skin to feel more fresh, you can also thrown in a tablespoon of dried and ground orange peels to this scrub. A topically applied paste of sandalwood powder and rosewater will also help to clear outbreaks of particularly nasty acne.

23. My daughter got an infection after popping a pimple on my upper lip.  She went to a skin doctor that gave her antibiotics for the infection but now she has a brown scar.  How can she get rid of the scar?

Acne natural treatment

Acne is quite a common problem during the teen years, and for many teenagers it is an extremely severe problem. Unfortunately, it is also very difficult to control, and in some cases completely resists treatment. However, by the age of around 20, it usually begins to clear up on its own, so most probably your problem is nearing its natural end.

Although pimples are not really caused by dirt, it certainly helps to keep the face clean. You should therefore wash your face several times a day, gently, using a mild soap. Avoid scratching or bursting your pimples at all costs, and in fact try to touch them as little as possible, to avoid causing infection or further outbreaks. This can also cause scars, which will remain long after your acne has gone. One over the counter remedy that helps is salicylic acid, which is available in several creams. You need to apply the cream as per the instructions for at least a month before you can see any results, and then continue applying the cream till the pimples have completely disappeared. Rubbing a cut lemon or a slice of potato on the affected areas is also supposed to help, so you can try these remedies too.
