Remedies for small itchy bumps on arm

The bumps could most likely be sebaceous glands of hair follicles on your skin. In common parlance, they are also called ingrowths. They could be a result of the hair having been pulled out of its roots from that particular area. This could have happened due to friction or some injury. Under normal circumstances, they should be left alone, since they are quite harmless. After some time, you will probably see hair growing out of them.

However, if you have tried all of the above and still have the complaint of burning and itching, it is best to get medical advice and eliminate any serious skin problem. For temporary soothing of the burning and itching, you can apply fresh aloe vera gel to the area. Application of yogurt also helps to soothe the skin. You can mix a small amount of rose water to the yogurt as well, to add to the relief caused by a cooling sensation.

Few bumps that grow with time may also mean warts, a fact that would have to be confirmed by a medical diagnosis. If they are, you can apply a castor oil on them. This is a slow but effective remedy for warts. For temporary relief, you can place thinly sliced raw potato on the bumps and leave on for about half an hour.
