My arm pits itch really bad after I bathe. And I have a small brown spot under my arm. What can I do to get rid of the spot and the itch?

Itchy skin can be caused by a variety of reasons. Usually your skin itches because of the dryness in the atmosphere. This can easily be treated with some easy home remedies. However itching is also the symptom for several allergic reactions and so it is advisable to seek your doctor's opinion on this before you begin any treatment.

For the dry skin one of the things that you can do is to use only lukewarm water to bathe in. Using very hot water usually causes this itching. Dry yourself but ensure that you keep you skin slightly damp. Apply a good moisturizer on damp skin. Ensure that you give yourself the time to pamper you skin with a good massage. You can use any oil, warmed and then massaged into to the skin before your bath. Leave it on for a little while before you bathe.

The underarms are the spots that usually get left out while bathing and since we usually sweat there, they are most likely to develop reactions to the sweat. You should ensure that you clean your underarms thoroughly every day. If you sweat a lot, use a good powder to keep that area dry. You can also wear loose clothes. Clothes made out of natural fibers are better than clothes made from synthetic fibers.

An accepted remedy for brown spots is lemon juice. You an also use sour lemon cream on the spots. Leave this on for a little while and then wipe it off. You can also use Vitamin E on the spots.
