Home Remedies for Arthritis

Eating raisins soaked in gin is often touted as a natural cure or an effective remedy for arthritis pain. Place raisins into a bowl and pour in just enough gin. Permit the gin to evaporate and place the moist raisins in a tight lid jar.


Eat about 9 raisins each day to cure arthritis.
Apart from eating gin soaked raisins, you can also try some of the other home remedies for curing arthritis:

  • Alfalfa is the most effective herb essential for relieving the pain, swelling and stiffness in joints.
  • Another beneficial Ayurvedic herb is boswellia.


    This herb helps in restoring blood vessels around inflamed connective tissues. Fever-few, ginger and cat’s claw are also good for pain and soreness.
  • Olive leaf extract containing a natural compound known as oleuropein helps in destroying microbes that causes arthritis. It is one of the safest and most effective natural antibiotics.
  • Nettle leaf is recognized for its anti-inflammatory properties.
  • Cayenne contains a compound known as capsaicin that inhibits the release of neurotransmitter responsible for communication pain sensation and thereby relives pain.
  • Turmeric contains a compound known as curcumin that beholds good pain relieving properties.
  • Other herbs that can effectively cure arthritis are burdock root, celery seeds, devil’s claw tea, willow bark, yucca, horsetail and corn silk.
  • Eat more of sulfur rich foods such as asparagus, garlic, onions and eggs. Sulfur is required for maintaining bones and cartilages.
  • Try eating 20 tart red cherries each day. This will help relive pain and inflammation.
