Can I use a tea bag on my boil?



Boil is a kind of skin infection that is caused by bacterial infection of hair follicles. The body area affected by boils is characterized by collection of pus enclosed by swollen tissue in the skin. Boil starts with a reddened and tender area and becomes firm and hard over the period of time. This pus forms a head that can be drained out using various methods.It's safe to use tea bag and hot compresses on boil. Prepare a ginger tea and then soak a white cloth in the tea. Apply this warm and wet cloth to the boil for about ten to fifteen minutes. This will help to remove infection.

You can also make use of ginger tea bags for external use.Tea bags are also used for preparing strong usnea tea by mixing two tea bags or 3 tbsp of whole usnea herb with one cup of water. Boil this mixture and allow it to steep for about ten minutes. Soak a white clean cloth in the boiled mixture and apply on the boil.Apart from tea bags, you can also use various combinations of parsley, turmeric powder, cumin seeds, bitter gourd juice, milk cream, betal leaf and vinegar as a home remedy for curing skin boil.
