I was just diagnostic with Helicobacter pylori igg, what food or herbs will help me?

Helicobacter pylori, often abbreviated as H. pylori refer to a type of bacteria that is present in the human digestive system. Bacteria present in the digestive tract help in the process of digestion. Often, the population of the bacteria grows beyond the control of the body. This results in a situation where the individual is uncomfortable because the digestive system may feel bloated or inflamed. Symptoms of indigestion, diarrhea, fever and weight loss are common when suffering from this type of infection. H. pylori may also cause stomach or intestinal ulcers which can be extremely painful.

A person should seek helicobacter pylori infection treatment as soon as they begin to notice the development of the symptoms. Most people with this bacterium in their bodies do not develop symptoms and will not seek treatment. There is no single drug that can cure this condition. The patient will be put on antibiotics and many other medications that, together, work to clear out the infestation in the digestive system. Hospitalization may be needed if the patient is drained by a lack of nutrition caused by continuous diarrhea and reduced food intake. Helicobacter pylori home remedies may not be effective if the condition is severe.

What is helicobacter pylori infection?

Helicobacter pylori are bacteria which are commonly found in the stomach and are also referred to as H. pylori. Food and water which is contaminated with fecal matter is responsible for spreading this infection. This bacterium invades the protective tissue lining of the stomach and causes changes in the duodenum and stomach. This kind of invasion results in the release of certain toxins and enzymes which can directly or indirectly damage the cells in the duodenum and stomach. Therefore helicobacter pylori can very easily cause conditions like gastritis and duodenitis. Some of the main helicobacter pylori infection causes include poor sanitary conditions, crowded living spaces and lack of clean food and water.

Unhygienic cooking conditions can also contribute to the spread of this infection. This infection can also spread through direct contact with infected vomit, feces or saliva. Some of the common helicobacter pylori infection symptoms can be seen in the form of nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, burning sensation in the stomach, frequent burping, weight loss and even bloating. Some people may even experience severe symptoms like bloody or black stools, bloody or black vomits, excruciating stomach pain and difficulty in swallowing. These symptoms must be reported to the doctor immediately to avoid further complications.

Can diet play an important role in getting rid of h pylori infection?

A healthy nutritious diet is a must for treating and curing helicobacter pylori infections. A nutritious diet not only helps in preventing this infection but also protects an infected person from the consequences of this infection. The digestive system requires a regular supply of fiber in order to function properly and hence foods rich in fiber such as vegetables, fruits, oats, seeds and legumes must be included in the daily diet. Fruits and vegetables like apples, cranberries, celery and onions contain flavonoids which restrict or stop the growth of this bacterium.

While following a diet for helicobacter pylori it is also important to include foods which are rich in B vitamins and calcium like dark green leafy vegetables, sea vegetables, beans and whole grains. To control the acid levels in the stomach fatty foods should always be replaced by low fat food products. In addition to following a good diet for this infection, probiotic supplements such as Lactobacillus acidophilus can also help get rid of h pylori infections.
