There are several simple remedies for treating dry hair. The easiest would be a warm oil hair massage. Take half a cup of coconut oil and crush 4 almonds into it.

Steam this mixture and apply to your hair while it is still warm. Massage and leave the oil for about an hour and then shampoo it. Mayonnaise also serves as an excellent conditioner for your hair.

Heat half a cup of mayonnaise until it becomes white and oily goo, apply this mixture to your dry, unwashed hair. Cover your hair with a plastic cap and leave it on for at least 15 to 30 minutes and shampoo thoroughly. You could also mash an overripe banana and avocado together and spread it in your hair. Leave this mixture for up to an hour and then rinse with warm water. Beer too gives your hair a healthy sheen. After washing your hair, you could use a pump bottle to spray the brew. You should spray the brew before blow-drying your hair. This will leave your hair shiny and sleek. In order to attain a clean and shiny look, you could use an egg: separate the whites and beat them thoroughly until it becomes stiff. Keep this aside and blend the yolk along with a spoon of water. Use a fork to mix the yolk and the whites together in a small bowl. Soak your hair well with warm water and then apply this egg mixture to your scalp and hair. Massage it gently, once the mixture has soaked in, rinse the hair with cool water till all the egg mixture is washed away completely. Vinegar too serves as a great conditioner for your hair. Just add 1-tablespoon vinegar to your hair while you are rinsing it. You could also massage full-strength vinegar into your scalp several times a week before you shampoo. This rinse helps control the frizziness in dry or damaged hair. Snacking on some healthy nuts and seeds helps in getting back the sheen to your hair.

You should use mild shampoos, and condition your hair regularly. Avoid over shampooing. Reduce the usage of heat products such as blow dryers and rollers. Do not swim without a cap, as chlorine is highly destructive for your hair. Deep condition your hair if it is exposed to chlorinated or salty water. Too much exposure to wind and sun could also leave your hair dry.

Dry hair home treatment

The human head contains an average of 150,000 hairs. These hairs require to be continually cleaned and nourished due to the amount of pollution in the air and the use of artificial hair care products. These factors damage the hair over time causing it go dry and appear frizzy. The best remedy to keep your hair healthy however is to drink an ample amount of water daily.
In order to combat dry hair you can use the following treatment. Take one egg, separate the yolk from the white, mix the yolk with one tablespoon of water until it becomes creamy, after which, mix the white of the egg with the same. Using warm water wet your and then towel dry it, then apply the mixture on the scalp and massage it properly. Repeat this until the whole mixture is used up.

Beer is another simple and easy remedy to rejuvenate your dry hair. All you have to do is spray the beer into your hair before styling or blow-drying your hair. Lastly you could follow some preventive measures like not over shampooing — which tends to wash away the natural protective oils produced by the scalp, trimming split ends every six to eight weeks and wearing a hat when you go out into the sun, as over exposure to wind and sun can dry your hair as well.
