How do you remove the burning sensation from hands after handling hot peppers?

The burning sensation in your hands can be relieved instantly by applying ice cubes to your hands. The numbing effect will take away the pain at once. Then, you can dip your hands in chilled and creamy milk and let them stay there for a good 20 minutes. This should help considerably. Applying olive oil to your hands will also help reduce the burning, although this will take a while. You can also use clarified butter. This will stop the burning sensation as well as heal your hands as it has therapeutic properties. A simple way to clarify butter is to melt unsalted white butter till it is clear, then strain and use. You can also use about 100 grams of solid white butter with a teaspoon of turmeric powder worked into it. Applying this to your hands will ease the burning sensation and help heal your hands as well. For quick relief, make a paste of sandalwood powder and rose water and apply this on your hands. Let it dry and then dust off. Do remember not to eat with your hands till you wash this off, however. It is best to do this at night and leave it on. For the future, if you have to handle hot peppers again, remember to coat your hands with olive oil liberally before you begin. This will not allow the spice to penetrate your skin and cause this problem again.
