On avoiding mumps- Mumps is a viral disease .Here there is fever and swelling of one jaw or both in the beginning that spreads after some day. It may lead to thyroid malfunction whereby the ovarian function may get imbalanced thus suppressing the ovulation and thereby the normal menstrual cycle .As soon as the infective phase passes away that is 5 -7 days then the cycles of menses turn to normal.
