If the skin hasn't been damaged because of the bruise, then you can use a slice of raw onion to get relief. Just dice an onion and place the piece over the bruised area. Ice cold water is also known to bring relief. Placing an ice pack or a compress dipped in ice cold water, or bathing the bruised area in ice cold water can constrict the blood vessels, which can bring relief.

Turmeric is known for its healing properties. Mix some in warm milk and drink it every day on an empty stomach. This home remedy can also bring relief. Lemon is another healing ingredient. Slice one and place the piece over the bruise. You can also drink lemon juice because it is rich in vitamin C and can treat internal hemorrhage.

You can also place some Salvia leaves on the bruise and wrap it with a bandage. Herbal tea made with white oak bark, comfrey and hops can heal a bruise. You can cook up another home remedy with a decoction of mullein flowers in olive oil. Apply this extract on the bruised area.

Grind some black coffee and apply this on the bruise and cover it with bandage. You can also apply lavender oil on the area for relief.

Alfa Alfa is rich in Vitamin K and has blood clotting properties and can be applied on the bruise.

Mix pepper and cayenne in a lot of melted Vaseline and apply on the bruise for quick healing.

You can mix Yarrow, Chamomile and Arnica to prepare your own healing lotion.

You can grind comfrey leaves into a paste and apply it over the bruised area.

Spread the leaves of parsley on the bruised area and cover this with a bandage.

You could prepare a salad with lettuce, broccoli and spinach because these are rich in vitamin K and has great blood clotting properties.

You can also soak cotton gauze in an apple cider vinegar or white vinegar and apply it on the affected area. Keep it that way for an hour.

You should also take vitamin K supplements. Consult a doctor before you do so. You may also eat vitamin C-enriched fruits and vegetables, and can help you build thicker and stronger blood vessels that won't rupture easily.

Vitamins for healing:

Vitaminc C and bioflavonoids can nourish the injured cells with oxygen and can strengthen the walls of the capillaries. These also help heal the bruise.

Coenzyme Q-10- CO Q-10 is good for helping in the construction of the body cell and also heal the damaged cells.

You can take a supplement with magnesium, calcium and vitamin D as these help in the formation of blood cells.
