Prevention from Rosacea

Although there is no specific way to prevent rosacea, you can take the required precautions to control the symptoms of this condition. Some of the important tips to keep in mind to prevent rosacea are as follows:

  • Avoid all possible triggers of rosacea such as sun exposure, exposure to extreme temperatures, spicy foods, alcohol, stress, anxiety, and other allergen foods
  • Take good care of your skin and avoid using cosmetic products that contain skin irritants. Wash your skin everyday with a gentle cleanser and use oil-free skin care products to keep the skin well moisturized.
  • Use a good quality sunscreen to protect your skin from sun exposure.
  • Keep your eyes clean and incase of dryness, use artificial teardrops to reduce excessive dryness.
  • Avoid abrasive products like scrubs and cleansing powders that may cause flushing.
  • Continue treatment even after the rosacea starts clearing out to prevent its re occurrence. You can continue using topical medications and self-care measures to prevent this condition from returning.
  • Eat healthy and exercise regularly to lower the risk of rosacea and other possible health problems.
