Tea for cold
suggested by Brianna on Thursday, April 5, 2007

Peel fresh ginger, cut in small pieces, add 3-4 gloves and 5-6 green cardamon seeds, put in glass pot (like coffee jug recycled from Trift store perhaps), add a one and half cup of water, boil for 10 minutes, drink with a tsp of honey, as warm as safe to swallow. Warms the system better even than the chicken soup.

Bronchitis and sinuses remedies
suggested by Brianna on Thursday, April 5, 2007

I get bronchitis from infected sinuses, and I believe this is how most people get bronchitis. The remedy I use is hot, dry salt.Warm dry salt in metal pot, use kitchen gloves to prevent getting burn, the salt gets very hot. Saw yourself a bag from very thick, cotton fabric, 4" by 14" big, double the seams (you don`t want any salt getting through), pour hot salt in the bag, use gloves all the time, tie the bag with metal tie(rubber would melt melt)VERY SECURELY, rap the bag in another towel or two to control the temperature and put on your sinuses and on your chest, best while in bed for the night. DO NOT FALL ASLEEP while using the bag. You may get badly burn. This is very helpful treatment, it seems to kill virus(virus can not live in high temperature). I have cured my sinuses with this treatment. It also cleared my bronchitis. I would use it 5-10 days in the row, and some even after I felf I was OK., virus infection is persistent, and at first sign of any infection later.

Herb Tea
suggested by Liz on Friday, February 23, 2007

1 tbs of ginger dash of cinnamon Dash of ground cloves dash of black pepper Dash of thyme 1 clove of garlic sliced (anti bacterial, anti microbial component) 2 cups of boiling water. Let it all stew for about 5 mins. Then drink it all down. I stopped coughing after the first sip and my nose was no longer clogged. It is a very spicy concoction and prolly shouldn't be used as an everyday tea to make for guests. But it really does make you feel better!

Steam Inhaler
suggested by Matt on Monday, January 8, 2007

Use 2-3 drops of Cinnamon Oil, Thyme Oil and Clove Oil with a Steam Inhaler (available in good Pharmacists) - Boil water and place in inhaler and inhale steam. Do this 3-4 times a day - you will feel better immediately and within 2-3 days you could be completely cured. I used to get bronchitis, persistent coughs from October through March. Don't get them any more. If I feel something coming on I immediately commence this treatment and voila within a day I am back to normal

Lemon Ginger Tea
suggested by Richard on Saturday, December 23, 2006

This is a all natural tea whicxh is available in mostt groceries around the world. You will need one fresh lemon washed in cool water and a piece of ginger root. Slice the lemon then take the slice and slice it in half remove the seeds from the two halves not the rinds. Place them in a cup peel a small piece of the ginger root about one quarter of an inch then slice it thinly and place the slices in the cup with the lemon slices. Add some pure honey (very little) for taste or whatever sugar substitute you prefer I reccommend Splenda. Afterwards add boiling water let set for a couple minutes stirring often then server. Drink the tea then lie down fully covered to sweat it out this remedy is best taken before bed at nite. It will help to cleanse out your organs as well as clear the phlegm from your chest.

Bronchitis/ Sore chest
suggested by Fatima on Friday, November 18, 2005

Roughly chop or stamp one onion with the skin on. Place on a cloth and pour Raw linseed oil atop. Olive oil or cooking oil can also be used. Wrap cloth closed and heat in the microwave to a tolerable temperature. The cloth is to be placed on the chest front or back, never both. Re-heat when the heat is lost. It is preferable to sleep the entire night with the cloth re-heating as many times as possible. The onions draw out the cold form the lungs and remove all the phlegm off the chest.
