Home Remedies for Infertility

A quick search on the Internet will produce pages and pages of home remedies for infertility. There is no real conclusive evidence that any of these treatments work so proceed with caution before trying any kind of infertility home treatment. Remember, natural does not always mean safe, so consult with your doctor before starting any new treatment regime. Some popular home remedies for infertility include:

  • Consuming wheat germ to increase fertility. Both partners should include wheat germ into their daily diet as the vitamin E in wheat germ helps balance hormones and increase the potency of the sperm.
  • Drinking raspberry tea may help improve female reproductive health and reduce the risk of a miscarriage.
  • Add two tablespoons of ground flaxseed into your meal to improve the chances of conceiving naturally.
  • Herbs such as winter cherry, black cohosh, and dong quai can treat problems such as irregular menstruation and increase the chances of proper implantation of the fertilized egg.
  • Chaste berry supplements or tinctures help balance out hormone levels in women suffering from ovarian problems and infertility.
It is only natural that most of us would prefer to use methods of treatment that are non invasive or do not involve the use of strong medications and pharmaceutical products. While most home remedies are unreliable and herbal treatments can be just as potent and dangerous as pharmaceutical drugs, there are a lot of steps that can be taken to improve fertility levels at home, involving lifestyle and diet modifications.
