Head bump cures

The presence of red, unsightly bumps on the back of your head can be quite an embarrassing, not to mention uncomfortable affliction for you. However, do bear in mind that scalp bumps can be of different types and some of them are more serious than others. Some of the bumps are small in size but are very itchy, while others are large and painful. It is quite difficult to guess the exact causes of this problem, without a proper medical evaluation. Given below are some of the factors that could have led to the appearance of bumps on the back of your head:

  • Dermatitis
  • Scalp psoriasis
  • Folliculitis
  • Acne
  • Cancer
  • Hives
  • Heat rash
  • Ring worm
  • Bug bites
Therefore, it is best to get the bumps on your scalp checked by a doctor, before trying to treat them at home. In case the swellings are a result of a health problem, you will need to go through proper medical treatment. In all probability, the bumps will stop appearing once the underlying cause is treated.

However, if the doctor confirms that the bumps are not really a cause for concern, you can treat them at home, using natural remedies:

  • Lavender oil to calm the skin and reduce the inflammation
  • Tea tree oil, since it has antibacterial properties and can get rid of the bacteria
  • Rosemary oil, as it treats & calms the skin with its antibacterial & soothing properties
  • Jojoba oil, which rehydrates the skin and expedite the healing process
Avoid using concentrated essential oil directly on your skin; add a few drops of the oil to some water before applying it to your scalp, with a piece of cotton. Other home prevention and treatment methods for bumps on the scalp include:

  • Moisturizing: After you wash your hair, massage your scalp with some natural oil (coconut, olive or almond) for about 10 minutes. Leave the oil on for another 15 to 20 minutes, before rinsing it thoroughly.
  • Eating Right: Make sure that you follow a healthy diet, which provides your body with all the required vitamins, minerals and other essential nutrients. This helps boost your immune system, thereby enabling your bod to fight off the infection
  • Drinking Liquids: Have at least 8 glasses of water each day, which detoxifies the body and prevents the formation of lumps.
While the natural remedies and treatment measures mentioned above are quite safe if used correctly, it is best to check with a doctor before trying any of them.

If this is a chronic condition, your body may tend to deposit fat and toxins in specific locations. Cysts (and/or wens) often occur on the scalp. Without direct examination, it is not possible for me to determine the cause. However, improving elimination through diet, hydro therapies, exercise etc. may slow the deposition. Routinely, a homeopathic cell salt, such as cal flour may help the body regain additional balance.
