Fibromyalgia is also referred to as fibrositis. It is identified as a chronic condition which causes some pain and stiffness to develop in a person's ligaments, muscles, joints and tendons. This condition is also characterized by other disturbances in one's bowel functions, by fatigue, by restless sleep, by anxiety, by tiredness and depression.

It is found to be among the commonest conditions that affects a person's muscles. But a point to note is that this condition does not really cause any deformity to a person's body or any kind of damage either. The main causes of this condition of Fibromyalgia are not very clear. Studies have indicated that those people who are more exposed to the cold and damp conditions are more likely to ail from this condition. What doctors have noticed is that the pain suddenly begins to occur and then will worsen even further when that particular muscle is being used. As a result of the pain those people who suffer from this condition are not able to sleep at night. Their sleep is always disturbed. Normally when people go to sleep, they enter into a deep state of relaxation. This is in stage four of their sleep. In this stage even the muscles get turned off naturally. However people who a re are ailing from this problem are never able to enter this stage of relaxation simply because their muscles will not relax and will probably be paining the person continue to ache. Thus these people suffer from sleep issues. The accompanying symptoms will include headaches, insomnia, nervousness, dizziness, numbness and other intestinal disturbances.

There are various remedies that one can avail off from home. These include taking about 2 teaspoons of freshly squeezed ginger juice. This needs to be taken by the person at least twice in a day. One can even take some raw ginger with one's meals. Try also mixing some turmeric along with some milk or with some water. This mixture is also extremely beneficial for those suffering from Fibromyalgia. Turmeric has some properties that help in relaxing a person's muscles and soothing it. One should also start eating garlic cloves on a regular basis. Similarly lemon juice and also some honey can could be mixed along with a glass of water that is warm or lukewarm. When this consumed it is extremely beneficial for this condition. Oatmeal cooked in meal is another useful remedy as is doing a massage with some olive oil.
