  • The use of hydrogen peroxide ear wax home remedy is very effective and is commonly used by many people. Lie down on one side, with the affected ear facing up. Using a dropper, pour a few drops of hydrogen peroxide into the ear, to clean it out. Remain still, till a bubbling sound is heard and then, once the sound subsides, turn over, allowing the hydrogen peroxide to flow out, taking along pieces of earwax with it. The remaining liquid should be flushed out of the ear, with some rubbing alcohol.

Some people tend to produce more ear wax, or have difficulty moving wax out of their ears. Drinking an adequate amount of pure/filtered water and ensuring you have alot of essential fatty acids in your diet will help the consistency and elimination of wax. To soften earwax, you may use a few drops of slightly warm olive oil or a commercially avaiable product such as Debrox. In my opinion, the best method for wax removal is ear irrigation using a syringe of warm water. The warm water under slight pressure will dislodge the softened wax. Many health care practitioners provide this service. Some people swear by the use of ear candles, but clinically, I have not seen results from this method. Do not use Q-tips or other instruments (fingers included) to attempt to remove wax from ears. The Q-tips often push the wax farther into the ear and may irritate the ear canal.
