Home remedies for pinched nerve
A pinched nerve anywhere in the body may be a sign of spondylitis. It is also possible that you actually have a muscular and not a nervous pain. A medical examination should determine this. For a pinched nerve, the best remedy is to apply ice packs to the area. Heat packs may aggravate the problem, so they are best avoided at least for the first few days you have the problem. If this is a recurring phenomenon, you should include a 20-minute walk in your daily routine. This will help eliminate the problem slowly, but it will be a permanent solution. A paste of cinnamon powder, honey and rose water can be applied to the area. Cover this with a cloth bandage and leave it on for about 30 minutes. Wash off with warm water. This should provide relief by absorbing the pain. Apply the juice of one raw potato to the area and wash off after it dries. This is known to be helpful in healing. Apply and leave on warm mustard oil to the area and leave it on for as long as you can. This will help loosen up your nerves and relax them back into their correct position. Try to sleep without a pillow. Walk and sit with your back straight, rather than involuntarily hunching as we are prone to do. The best thing you can do for relief is rest.
