Home treatment for nausea

  • Ask him to keep soda crackers with him at all times and whenever he feels nausea, he can keep it in his mouth.
  • He can also drink ginger ale and the juice of ginger early in the mornings. Make ginger tea by boiling some roots in water. Add some honey to it for taste. Honey has sedative effects, so drink it at nights if your son goes out in the mornings.
  • Drink alfalfa, peppermint tea, red raspberry tea and slippery elm tea in the mornings or whenever nausea recurs. He can also chew some mint sprigs or eat its leaves. Add mint leaves in vegetables and salads. He can also lick a paste of mint made with honey or sip the juice of mint leaves.
  • Add ½ tsp of baking soda in 1 glass of warm water and give him to drink it 4 to 5 times a day or whenever he feels nausea.
  • He can also eat raw vegetable salads, sprouts and vegetable soups sprinkled with some black pepper powder.
  • Ask your son to keep some asafetida powder in his palm and smell it whenever he feels nausea. He can also add a pinch of it to vegetables while cooking them.
  • He can also sip 1 glass of buttermilk over a period of 2 or 3 hours.
