Milk Thistle is the best treatment for jaundice and any remaining effects of it. You can purchase it in capsule form at any health food store. Follow the directions on the bottle.
You can also take or eat dandelion. Dandelions make an excellent salad or the leaves can be steamed like spinach. Both of these herbs are highly effective for all types of liver problems, especially jaundice. Drinking two to four cups of tea made from rose hips, licorice, and peppermint will also be helpful. Mix one part each and boil with water to make a tea. These herbs combined with Chinese herbal tea are especially potent. You can drink this tea hot or with ice as an iced tea, which ever is your preference. While you are treating this problem, wearing sunglasses is a good idea to rest your eyes and protect them until they are totally healed and the yellow colour is gone. You can also drink a sort of jaundice lemonade twice daily.
The recipe is as follows: Jaundice Lemonade Juice from one lemon Juice from two limes ½ cup natural sugar 3 quarts water Mix all ingredients together and chill. Then drink two glasses per day.
