Drooling, also referred to as salivary incontinence or ptyalism is associated with improper swallowing and lack of coordination by the lips for closure. Throat obstruction is a vital factor which contributes to drooling. Avoid swallowing food and eating in a hasty manner. Do not eat when drunk.
