How to heal blisters caused due to sunburns?
Sunburn blisters occur when the sunburn is excessively severe. This type of sunburn is referred to as third degree sunburn. In this type of sunburn, the ultraviolet rays penetrate deep into your skin causing severe damage to your skin tissues. If not taken care of immediately, the fluid formation may take place in the blisters, leading to a more painful condition.
If you happen to suffer from severe sunburn, the first and most important thing to do is to drink a lot of fluid so as to combat the dehydration. You should also soak yourself in a bathtub filled with cold water for at least half an hour. This is considered first aid when it comes to sunburn blisters treatment.
For healing sunburn blisters, you can also use any of the following sunburn blister remedies:
- Gently apply honey on the blisters with your fingers and let it stay for an hour or two. This is one of the most effective natural sunburn blisters treatment.
- Gently apply diluted lavender essential oil on the blisters four to five times a day. This will not only help in the quick healing of the damaged tissues but it also has a very soothing effect on the skin.
If the itching persists for more than two to three days, it is best to consult a doctor.

Does applying apple cider vinegar helps to cure sunburn?
When it comes to home remedies for sunburn, the following questions are quite common: Does vinegar help sunburn? How good is apple cider vinegar for sunburn?
Here’s the truth: Applying apple cider vinegar certainly does help in soothing the itching and relieving the pain that results from sunburn. The reason why this vinegar sunburn treatment works is that the malic acid and acetic acid present in the vinegar re-establish the pH levels of the skin by neutralizing the effect of burnt tissues. Apple cider vinegar being a natural mild antiseptic also guards the skin against bacterial infections.
However, it should be noted that apple cider vinegar does not cure or rebuild the new tissues. Applying apple cider vinegar on sun burnt areas of your skin is simply more or less like a good first aid. If you happen to suffer from sunburns on a large area of your body, add two cups of apple cider vinegar in the bathtub containing cold water and stay in it for half an hour. You can then wash yourself with ordinary cold water. After applying the apple cider vinegar, you can use any other home remedy for sunburn treatment. You will be able to find several remedies online.
