Honey, as we all know , is the natural sweet substance produced by honeybees from the nectar of flowers, transform and combine with specific ingredients, store and leave to ripen in the combs of the hives.

Therapeutic effects of honey on skin

1.Honey cleanses wounds and initiates the growth of healthy granulation tissue.



2.Honey applied on cuts and bruises act as a physical barrier, maintains the skin integrity, expels hazardous invaders and promotes healing process.

It helps in alleviating pimples. Mix 3 tbsp of honey and 1 tsp of cinnamon powder paste. Apply this paste on pimples before sleeping and wash in the morning with warm water. Do this for 2 weeks and you shall be relieved of pimples.
4.Topical application of honey has proved valuable in chicken pox. It helps in healing of the disease within 3 days.
5.Applying honey and cinnamon powder in equal parts cures eczema, ringworm and all types of skin infections.

Honey is a potent natural anti-microbial and has soothing, healing properties.  it can be extremely beneficial for the skin, especially applied topically as weak dilution with water  or a combination of water and witch hazel.
