Can milk be given in case of chicken pox?

In order to best take care of anyone suffering from chicken pox, it is important to remember a few rules. The first of them is to drink lots of fluids to keep the body supple and healthy, and fighting fit. Milk is one of the best things you can drink if you have chicken pox. In fact, two glasses of milk a day are very highly recommended for a patient suffering from chicken pox. Try to have it warm, with half a teaspoon of turmeric powder added to it. The turmeric powder will help to heal chicken pox from within. It will also help to heal the blisters that form on the skin. It is also very highly advisable to have lots of water and freshly squeezed fruit and vegetable juices. The juices of apple, pineapple, cucumber, tomato and celery are considered to be particularly useful in maintaining health while suffering from chicken pox.

There are also some remedies that you can follow for relief and to help cure the disease faster. Adding a cup each of rosewater and organic vinegar to bathwater will help to take care of the itching that accompanies chicken pox boils. This will also prevent fever, which can sometimes add to the discomfort caused due to the disease. Before bathing, you can also make a paste of simple cornstarch or corn flour and water with a pinch of baking soda added to it and apply this to the body. Let it remain for about 10 minutes before bathing. This will provide relief from the itching. Aloe vera gel will also help with healing topically. Applying it to the boils will take care of the problem. If you can find it fresh, it is better than using a store brought and commercially made one. For relief from itching, calamine lotion is also a good solution.
