Sunburn causes a lot of damage to the skin and cause the skin to itch and peel. This damage is very apparent when the sunburn is severe. One the first things you can do to combat sunburn is to stay indoors and keep your skin from getting too dry or hot. The first remedy you can try is a vinegar and water remedy. Take a tub of water and take about one or two medium sized cups of vinegar. Soak the affected areas of the skin in the solution. The remedy helps control the dryness and reduces the amount of peeling. The next remedy you can try is the use of an aloe Vera plant. All you have to do is take a piece of aloe Vera directly from the plant and apply it to your skin. The plant is known to have a cooling and soothing effect on the skin. It does so by creating a protective barrier and traps the moisture in the skin. If you do not have a plant then you can try using aloe Vera gel, which will be available at your local pharmacy. The best thing about this remedy is that it helps the skin heal itself as soon as possible.

Another remedy that you can try and is probably the easiest is the use of a cool bath or the application of a cold compress to the sunburned area. This will, definitely reduce the sensation of pan and discomfort. You can also try using a cloth soaked in milk to

Soothe the burning and help draw the trapped heat out of the skin. In terms of nutrition you cab start to take vitamin supplements during the time that the sunburn occurs. These vitamins will help support and speed up the process of the skin efforts to heal itself. The supplements that you should focus o are vitamin A and vitamin C, flaxseed oil and carotene. Use a cream that has vitamin E as an ingredient as it is known to be very effective in curing sunburned skin.
