My skin is really itchy and dry. I have very sensitive skin and don't know what to do.

Dry skin results when your body lacks sufficient moisture to keep skin supple and well lubricated. You must spend some time out of doors in order to get away from air conditioning and heaters to help your skin breathe better. Among effective home remedies for dry skin are a daily routine of moisturizing after a warm bath. The best product to use for this would olive oil, which is therapeutic in healing dry skin as well. If you are just out from a warm bath, and then immediately apply the oil, it will seal the moisture from your bath within.

You must exfoliate on a weekly basis. Prepare your own scrub for this purpose using sugar crystals and olive oil and scrub it in circular motions all over your body till the sugar melts. Bathe with warm water and a mild soap. You can also make a scrub with whole oatmeal tied in a thin muslin cloth and use this instead, if you want to avoid the oil. For itching, apply a mashed overripe banana mixed with milk cream to dry areas like knees, ankles and elbows. A milk bath is also a decent solution for this problem. Add a gallon of whole milk in a tub of warm water, and soak for about 20 minutes. This will moisturize your skin very well.
