Lower backache and prostate problems advice Lower back pain is a symptoms often associated with prostatitis (inflammation or infection of the prostate gland). Consult a specialist for a medical prescription for the same and try the following home remedies to ease the back pain –
- Apply warm water compress on the lower back. Fill hot water in a glass bottle or in a heating bag and use this as a compress.
- Liberally include ginger and garlic in your diet as they have pain killing properties. Also cut down on caffeine, alcohol or alcoholic beverages, spicy and acidic foods.
- Avoid smoking, chewing tobacco and try some suitable yogic exercises to ease back pain.
- Increase your fluid intake as this will help to increase the urine flow and prevent dehydration, kidney infections or cystitis.
- Preferably at night sleep on a firm mattress instead of a soft one.
- Maintain a good posture while sitting, standing and walking.
