Can scabies have anything to do with a urinary tract infection



Scabies is a skin disease. It is a highly contagious disease caused by tiny microscopic mites called Sarcoptes scabei. It can spread easily by skin to skin contact if appropriate care is not taken while having an intercourse; scabies can lead to urinary tract infection. Try the following simple home remedies to cure scabies and urinary tract infection.

  • Personal hygiene is very important to avoid other infections like urinary tract infection. Avoid sex without condoms. Wash all the beddings, towels or clothes used by a person with scabies (with in 48 hours) in hot water. Also avoid sharing towels, clothes and beddings with other members of the family or friends as scabies is highly contagious.
  • Vacuum the carpets, upholstery, rugs, furniture and other areas where there is a possibility for mites to spread. Discard the vacuum bags after use.
  • Apply fresh apricot juice extracted from the leaves on the affected area. This has beneficial effects for scabies.
  • Make a paste from margosa leaves, turmeric powder and add mustard oil in it. Apply this on the body and leave it for about an hour. Take a bath. This procedure should be repeated for 6-7 days to get rid of the mites.
  • Avoid wearing tight fitted clothes like panties and tight jeans. Wear soft clean and comfortable cotton panties.
  • Increase fluid consumption. This can be done in the form of boiled water, barley water, butter milk, vegetable juices, and fruit juices like cranberry juice, apple juice, or coconut water. The excess urine will help flush unwanted substances and toxins from the body.
  • Avoid artificial sweeteners, chocolates, spicy, oily foods, alcohol, beer, cheese, soda and carbonated drinks should be avoided completely till the infection is gone.
