You should soak your hands in vinegar because this provides an acidic environment in which the fungus cannot thrive and is a much better solution that merely soaking your hands in water. You can also try other soaking liquids such as mouthwash, very dilute chlorine bleach, and hydrogen peroxide. You can also apply essential oils of herbs like oregano and thyme to soften the nail and battle the fungus inside. Recent studies have suggested at the anti-fungal power of tea tree oil and it is recommended that you try applying this oil on your nails.
