How do I stop my hair from falling out

Our hair has to undergo a lot in the name of fashion. With every changing fashion, the amount and range of chemicals and styling products that we use in our hair changes. To top that, our hair is also subjected to dirt and pollution which makes it dull and lifeless. It is not surprising then, that after so much torture, we experience hair fall. You tend to damage your hair every time you blow dry, dye, or perm it. Using styling products like gels and mousses also makes the hair weak and brittle. Most people who use a lot of chemicals in their hair have hair that breaks while combing. An irregular and inadequate diet is also to be blamed for hair fall.

If you want to do something to stop hair fall, it is best to start treating it with a little tenderness. The first thing is to completely stop applying heat to your hair. This means, no straightening, ironing, or blow drying your hair. Let your hair dry naturally. Blow drying causes your hair to have split ends which weakens your hair and increase the chances of your hair breaking. If you must blow dry your hair, make sure that you use it only on the lowest setting. When you comb your hair, do so gently. Instead of yanking at your hair with a hair brush, use a wide toothed comb and gently pass it through your hair, releasing tangles gently as you move along the hair shaft. The wide toothed comb is easy on the hair and massages the scalp gently. After this you can use a brush.

Also lay off your styling products for some time. Pay special attention to your diet. Your diet is very important in maintaining the health of your hair. The condition of your hair reflects your health. If you are stressed out, it is another reason why your hair may be falling. stress is one of the biggest factors causing hair fall. Try to relax and avoid stress. You may try yogic meditative techniques to bust stress. Never use water that is too hot to wash your hair. Wash your hair with lukewarm water and always use a gentle shampoo and conditioner on it twice a week. Hair tends to get very dirty and it is important to maintain proper hygiene by washing your hair regularly. To remove split ends, trim your hair regularly. This will keep it healthy and allow it to grow to your desired length.

Wash your hair and scalp with mild cleaning agents. Do not use any rough scouring products to get rid of the dandruff that maybe causing the hair fall. In most cases oily scalp and flakes are the main culprits in hair fall and these can be kept under check by using a daily shampoo that is good enough to use every day especially if it is mild. Try a baby shampoo for desired results or use the solution of soap nuts for a healthy scalp. Take a handful of soap nut and boil this in water. Let it cool and use it as a substitute to shampoo as a natural method. However you must continue with this soap nut method for at least to notice the results. Hair takes a long time to get affected and an equally long time to show positive results if under treatment. Hence give yourself at least three months to observe a gradual reduction in hair fall.
