Natural Cure for Food Poison
In most cases, during a normal bout of food poisoning the symptoms usually go away by themselves in a day or two. But the niggling discomfort may remain for a while and to get rid of this it is necessary that you drink up as much water as you can. Since there is a buildup of toxins in the digestive tract these should be flushed out with as much as possible.
Tank up on water and fluids during the day, taking small slow sips at a time. Do not try to drink up at once, as it may induce vomiting. Your stomach is still in a delicate state and small sips will help in settling down the intestinal tract.
The bacteria that is responsible for inflaming the intestinal tract causes a good amount of fluid loss. This happens during diarrhea and dysentery that usually accompanies stomach poisoning symptoms. Hence to stay from being dehydrated you would need to replace the lost fluids in the body. You can also supplement your diet with plenty of clear soups, without too much additives, clear juices such as apple juice, plain clear broth and bouillon. Soft drinks are not recommended due to the presence of soda and high sugar. Carbonated drinks are known to further worsen the stomach condition and cause increased irritation.
