To prevent any kind of infection, illness or disease, it is essential to build up the immune system. Good eating habits reduce the instances of disease, and strengthen the body's natural healing capacity.

Overexertion, stress and anxiety also lead to a number ailments, and as far as possible, should be avoided. Deep breathing exercises and meditation help to improve the mental health of an individual. Some form of exercise is also essential for keeping the body fit and reduces the chances of illness. A brisk walk daily by itself is known to be highly beneficial. The body also needs sufficient rest to be able to rejuvenate itself and refresh the mind. During this period, the body naturally cures the damage that has occurred during the day. These are the only measures that can be universally applied to recover from any disease and ensure proper development of the body.
