kid is 11 months. Teething. from 3days passing green diarrhea, white splotches on tongue. No baby food, only adult foods, very picky-only apples, carrots, greens, toast. Nurses full time, drinks some water. Fussy at night


  • To control diarrhea, you can give diluted yogurt or buttermilk to your child 3 or 4 times in the morning and afternoon. Avoid fruits like pears, peas, peaches, apricots, prunes, plums and fruit juices. You can give your baby foods to eat like mint carrot, potato and fruits like pomegranate, papaya, apple and banana.
  • Mix a pinch of common salt and 1 tsp of sugar in 1 glass of water and keep giving this to your child every 10 to 15 minutes. You can also use any electrolyte available at drug stores. This is to make-up for the lost salt and fluid form the body due to diarrhea.
  • Mix 1 tsp of honey, ½ tsp of mint juice and ½ tsp of ginger juice and let your child lick a few drops of it during the day till it gets over.
  • In 3 cups of water boil 1 grated raw papaya for 10 minutes. Strain the liquid and finish it in one day.
  • For relief from teething pain let the baby suck a towel in which an ice cube has been wrapped.
  • Or put 1 banana in the freezer and give your child to suck it. You can also a cold and peeled full-sized carrot for this purpose.
