How to avoid dark discoloration on neck and under arms?

Skin darkens in these particular areas because we do not pay adequate attention to them while cleaning ourselves. This causes dirt and sweat to accumulate in the fine folds of skin that are present in these areas and over a period of time, the skin darkens. There are some very simple remedies that can be used to take care of the problem. You can begin by exfoliating regularly. Make an effective one at home by mixing sugar crystals and olive oil to make a cream-like paste. If you have oily skin, you can make an exfoliating cream with equal parts of dried and powdered orange peels and yogurt. You can also add a couple of crushed walnuts into this mix.

To lighten the color of your skin, chop an orange into two and rub over the affected areas in gentle circular motions for at least 15 minutes. Using aloe vera gel in the same manner will also achieve the same result. You can apply raw potato juice or cucumber juice to the darkened area; this will help lighten the skin. To remove tans in the area, mix a teaspoon each of milk, honey, lime juice, and almond oil. Rub this into skin and wash after about 30 minutes.
