A bug bit inside my nose, nothing works nose bleeds and is very dry sore. Any suggestions?

Whenever there is an insect bite, it is important to first check if the stinger has been left embedded in the skin. As long as the stinger stays lodged in the skin, the swelling and pain will not subside. You should never try to pull out the stinger using a pair of tweezers because this can inadvertently squeeze the venom sack ,making the venom leak out into the surrounding skin and aggravating the problem. Instead you should scrape out the stinger using the blunt edge of a knife or your finger nail. Since the bite in this case is inside the nose, you can not check for the stinger. You can apply an ice pack or cold compress on the outside of the nose to reduce the swelling, inflammation and bleeding. The nose is probably sore due to the swelling and bleeding.

There are several other home remedies for insect bites. Usually, application of a mud pack on the insect bite helps to soothe the swelling and pain. Another effective home remedy from the kitchen involves application of a paste of table salt and water on the affected area to get rid of the pain and swelling. Alternately you can mix 1 tsp of baking soda in 1 glass of water and periodically wipe the stung skin with a piece of soft cloth dipped in this water. A paste of baking soda and vinegar applied on the insect bite can also help to treat the problem. If you do not have any vinegar in the house you can substitute it with a few drops of lemon. A traditional remedy for insect bites which works wonders is the charcoal trick. You can make a paste of 2 to 3 capsules of charcoal with some water and apply it to the affected area for 30 minutes before washing it off. This helps to draw away the toxins from the sting and thus reduce the inflammation and swelling.  Onion and garlic, though responsible problems of bad breath are highly beneficial at treating and preventing such problems. You should ensure that your diet includes plenty of onions and garlic to avoid getting stung by insects. It is also important to avid wearing bright clothes with large motifs when you are in the nature, to avoid attracting insects. If you are going to spend a lot of time outside you should apply a good insect lotion and avoid sweet smelling creams and lotions which will attract the insects.
