I am only 13 years old and have slightly dark underarms. I feel shy when I wear a dress that shows my underarms. What should I do?

First of all, check if you sweat a lot in your underarms. Keep your skin dry and clean. Use a mild soap and scrub the skin of your underarms with a loofah and warm water to exfoliate it before you go to bed at night. This alternative remedy will clear the dead skin and unclog your sweat glands. Some cosmetic or soap you are using might be acting as an irritating agent for your skin and causing allergy and thus leading to blackness of the skin. Also, it could be the result of any hair removing cream or lotion that you might be using. So, replace them or discontinue using them for sometime.

Another natural cure is to rub the skin with a slice of lemon, raw potato or cucumber. You can also apply coconut water and olive oil to the area regularly.

Take 2 tsp of raw milk and mix ¼ tsp of turmeric powder in it. Make a uniform paste and apply it on your skin. After it dries, start rubbing the area in circular motions and let the paste come off while you are doing this. Then wash the area with cold water and apply some rose water to it. This mixture removes tan, soft hair and dead skin effectively. Use this home remedy once everyday and you will find a marked improvement within a week.
