Narcissistic Personality Disorder



Narcissistic personality disorder is a type of mental disorder that falls under the category of dramatic personality disorders. People with narcissistic personality disorders have an inflated sense of their selves along with feelings of superiority that have no basis in reality. In fact, behind the mask of self-love and exaggerated sense of importance lies a deep sense of insecurity and low self-esteem. Like other personality disorders, narcissistic personality disorders limits a person's ability to interact normally in society and maintain any type of relationship. The behavior of a narcissistic personality can be very distressing to people around.
