The fact you began to have hot flashes at such an early age could mean your endocrine system and liver functions are out of balance. The thyroid, adrenal and ovaries work together, and because you have a thyroid imbalance it is challenging to balance ovarian and adrenal functions. Both the ovaries and adrenal gland have much to do with hormone production in your body. However, hot flashes can also be the result of liver function. If you support your liver with herbs such as silymarin, taraxicum, chelidonium, etc. you may be able to reduce the severity and frequency of hot flashes. However, hot flashes may also be the result of other conditions which involve your nervous system, pituitary gland, etc. You may choose to consult a trained health care practitioner to determine the cause of your hot flashes if they continue to interfere with your daily activities.
