Blackheads and white heads are two types of acne. They are made up of keratin and sebum, which occur due to a build up of dirt in pores of the skin thus blocking ducts of the sebaceous gland. There are a number of natural remedies to counter black heads that you can find at home. You can use a face mask made of egg white and honey (1 tsp of honey+1 egg white). Apply the same with a cotton swab and leave it on for a half hour, after which you should rinse it out with warm water and pat the skin dry. Another easy to use remedy is to steam and then scrub your face with a little soap and water and then apply an oat meal paste.
The best way to prevent blackheads from forming in the first place is to avoid the excessive intake of coffee and bread. Start your meal with the intake of protein first (so as to prevent a sharp rise in blood sugar) and avoid junk and highly spiced foods as they tend to release a lot of heat in the body. The most effective measure you can take is to clean your skin properly and consume at least 8-10 glasses of water daily. Washing your skin properly keeps your pores clean and controls the build up of sebum and the water serves to hydrate your skin and clean out toxins from your body.
