Detoxification Tips
In order to detoxify and cleanse your system, you will need to follow some simple guidelines for three days. This procedure works best for people who are generally short on time. First thing in the morning on all three days, have a glass of warm water with a teaspoon of honey and half a lime squeezed into it. Begin with fasting for the first day, consuming only fruit and vegetable juice. Have a large glass of juice every two hours all day. If you are typically a large eater, you may experience light headedness and have a headache. Bear it if you can, otherwise you will have to fast for a single day only. The aim is to be on a diet of simple fibre so as to cleanse and detoxify your system thoroughly, and you will also have the added benefit of having lost a bit of weight by the side. Drink as much water as you can throughout the three days of this diet plan. On the second day, you must eat uncooked, unprocessed fruits and vegetables all day. Stick to bananas, papayas, apples, grapes, sweet oranges, cherries and peaches. Try to avoid too much of citrus fruit, as this may add to your acidity. Eat a maximum of two fruits every two hours. On day three, you may start eating solids. However, avoid carbohydrates till your system is used to eating solid food. Stick with vegetable protein such as lentil and bean soups. Make sure they are thoroughly cooked. At dinner time, you can have a bit of rice with your soup. On the fourth day, eat as you normally would.
