Standing or sitting in one posture for long hours, incorrect posture, being sedentary, lacking exercise, wearing high heels, improper lifting of things are some of the reasons which contribute to low back pain. Even though you may be comfortable with your seating posture, working for long hours in front of the computer with lack of physical activity or exercise during after-office or before-office hours could be contributing factors. The root cause for low back pain is often difficult to identify but poor muscle tone, joint problems and torn muscles or ligaments could be responsible. A slipped disc may also cause low back pain. It may also cause sciatica which is a condition in which pain travels down the buttocks and/ or one or both the legs.
Try as far as possible not to slouch and keep your back straight when you are working in front of the computer. Try to exercise at least for 30-45 mins everyday during after office or before office hours.
